Sheffi is the Elisha Gray II MIT Professor of Engineering Systems and Director of the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. He is the author of eight books as well as an upcoming title, “The Magic Conveyor Belt: Supply Chains, AI, and the Future of Work.”
Ponce’s research focus is the design of omnichannel distribution strategies that integrates online and offline channels. She also leads research initiatives on circular supply chains, reverse logistics and closed-loop supply chains.
She leads the MicroMasters in SCM team at MIT CTL and oversees a massive online and global program that is attended by tens of thousands of students in open enrollment from more than 190 countries and is leading an innovative research line in omnichannel education at MIT, which is transforming supply chain management education around the world.
